New Line Cinema's updated version may boast an equally impressive cast as Sandra Bullock, Meg Ryan, and Annette Bening to star in the film. The screenwriter Diane English will be making her directorial debut with "The Women." Mick Jagger, Victoria Pearman, who helped enormously to get New Line interested in the movie and Christopher Eberts will produce the film. The storyline is about a group of gossip mongering, high-society women who spend most of their days at the beauty salon and fashion shows. The sweet, happily- married Mary Haines finds her marriage in trouble when shop assistant Crystal Allen gets her hooks into Mary's husband . Obviously this sort of situation becomes the hot topic amongst Mary's bitchy friends, especially the scandalmonger Sylvia Fowler, who has little to boast either when she finds herself on a train bound for Reno and impending divorce.
