At cinemas now - The Mummy - The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. The action moves to Asia for the next adventure series. A story that races from the catacombs of ancient China high into the frigid, ice world of the Himalayas. Brendan Fraser returns as explorer Rick O'Connel who is joined in this all-new adventure by son Alex played Luke Ford, wife Evelyn played by Maria Bello and her brother, Jonathan who else but John Hannah again. In this new adventure the O'Connells must stop a mummy woken from a 2,000-year-old curse who threatens to plunge the world into his merciless, unending service.
A double-crossing sorceress played by Michelle Yeoh, sends the ruthless Dragon Emperor played by Jet Li and his 10,000 soldiers to spend eternity in suspended animation. Entombed in clay as a vast, silent terra cotta army they have layed dormant for centuries until adventurer Alex O'Connell is tricked into awakening the ruler from eternal slumber, the reckless archaeologist must get the help from the only people who know more than he does about taking down the undead, his own parents.
With the Emperor back into life our heroes find his quest for world domination has intensified over the centuries . With unimaginable supernatural powers, the Emperor will rouse his legion as an unstoppable, otherworldly force, unless the O'Connells can stop him.
The title is a little misleading in reality because in fact there is no "Mummy" in this film.
