Page 3 of 3 Stanpit MarshAn area designated as a wildlife conservation area on the north eastern edge of the harbour. Rushes and tall grass enable ground nesting birds somewhere to nest and rear young. Lot's of small pools of freshwater encourage frogs and newts. The public are able to access this area with care. However adjacent to the marsh itself is a public use field of grass for picnics and general leisure (dogs are allowed but owners must clean up after them) plus a wide view of the harbour, Haven Quay and Hengistbury Head. In the distance is the Haven Quay at Mudeford, home for the Highcliffe Sailing Club and the RNLI Lifeboat Station. On left side of photos can be seen holiday homes and cottages with fabulous views across the harbour. Photo Gallery
