Road resurfacing works are being carried out on the B3347 - Stony Lane in Burton, Christchurch from 28th April 2008 to 13th May 2008.  Delays and queueing expected especially at peak periods

The section of Stony Lane affected will be from the railway bridge at the Christchurch end to the Ringwood side of the Fishersmans Haunt on the "S" bend at Winkton.

The most important warning is the fact that sections of Stony lane will be CLOSED between the hours of 6pm and 2am from 6th May through to 13th May 2008 weekdays only.  Therefore through traffic will be unable to use this road during those times in the evening, but most residents will be able to gain access albeit some restriction if work is being carried out adjacent to their properties.

Closure will be south of Sopley (The Woolpack) and north of the Salisbury Road junction with Stony Lane (Winkton House).

These roadworks are necessary as the surface has badly deteriorated over the years since a top dressing was applied.
