Christchurch Quay  Christchurch is situated on the central south coast of England has a fascinating history with a unique character that has blended with modern living.  The town is also unique in that it can boast of being at the conjunction of two rivers, Avon and Stour.  Also two castles, an eleventh century Priory church which escaped demolition under Henry VIII reign and a Saxon mill logged in the "Doomsday Book"  Bridging the River Avon is a medieval bridge and a castle that became under seige during the Civil War of 1645.

Many of the pubs in the town were linked to smuggling and can tell many a tale of "goings on" during the hours of darkness. Visit the towns workhouse now the museum. A must visit is the Priory standing tall over the town with it's history, legends and architecture.
